why
Why does it always come back to you? Why does everything remind me of you? How do I get you from out of my under my skin? Why are you the underlying melody in the back of my mind? Why do I still mention you in conversations? Why do I have the desire to share everything with you? Why do I wonder? Why do I want? Why am I jealous? Why do I picture you? Why does it always come back to you?

drive day
Hello Lovelies! What a beautiful sunny day!
Yesterday I was lucky enough to take park in a drive day with work colleagues and their beautiful cars. The day started at 4am, yep I know early, I watched the sunrise over Bronte Beach as I met Al got in his Porsche and set off to meet everyone else on the drive day. We took the scenic route down the south coast to Wakefield Park Goulburn. I was the dedicated female/ passenger/ camera women for the day. The trip home was less scenic but still enjoyable as we listened to The Ashes in the comfort of air conditioning. I had a great time and it was worth the 4am start. Here are a few snaps of the day.

the little things
Since ive left the nest and my brothers have gotten older we rarely are all at the same place.
These photo's were taken over the weekend. We all went down to the local games arcade and played a few games. Mr 5yr old was adamant that he play this motorbike game even though he reach all pedals or steer... with the help of G and R he was able to play the game and actually came 2nd!

back to happiness
How was your weekend? My was as glorious as i had hoped it would be. I had a date with my couch, managed find time to spring clean, had a gorgeous lunch with Lulu at Andrew Boy Charlton pools, celebrated Tanya's actual birthday with noodles and cocktail jugs, caught up with my family, snuck in some shopping and got extremely dissapointed when Nina and Chris did not get it on.
This week i feel back to happiness, i was sitting in my little courtyard with my feet up, paper on my lap, music in the background, glass of wine next to me and i realised im back to happiness. I'm back to being happy and content with my life. The internal storm i was battling has ended and i am ready to move on and upwards with my life. I'm ready to let the past stay in the past.

The price of judging ourselves through others' eyes is one of the curses of the human race.
Julia Roberts:
Julia Roberts:
“It’s unfortunate that we live in such a panicked, dysmorphic society where women don’t even give themselves a chance to see what they’ll look like as older persons. I want to have some idea of what I’ll look like before I start cleaning the slates. I want my kids to know when I’m pissed, when I’m happy, and when I’m confounded. Your face tells a story… and it shouldn’t be a story about your drive to the doctor’s office.”

shoal bay
Guess who’s back… back again… I’m back… from Shoal Bay.
I’m back after a weekend away with the girls at Shoal Bay for Miss Tanya’s birthday. We all had a great time and stayed at the beautiful Shoal Bay Resort and Spa. There was massages, many giggles and yummy food consumed.
Things we learnt:
- The true meaning of the word Derek
- That Mr Fletcher blocked the water pump and they’re ALL CRAZY!
- That we are really great at rapping along to Eminem
- Beating lollies out of a cardboard box with a stick really is fun
- Sand is a good to exfoliate with
- Always take both room keys
- ‘Sherry Baby’ will get stuck in your head for ages
- There is a big peach in Nelson Bay
- The relaxation room is not very relaxing
- You have to be desperate to use the bathroom if you stop at a truck stop
I feel a lot more like myself after a weekend away with the girls, it was just what I need to put myself right again. It reminded me how much I need to tae time out for myself to rest and rejuvenate.
Have a great week x

· Wearing your hair in a messy bun everyday cause your on holidays
· Smelling of coconut sun cream
· Giggling with friends
· Not wearing any make up
· Wearing thongs everyday everywhere
· Staying up late and sleeping late
· A clam relaxing feeling
· Saying ‘ I wished I lived here’ or ‘I don’t want to go home (yet)’ at least twice a day
· Coming home with a big smile on your face and a tan mark
· Something we all dream of

Spring
Today finally feels like spring after 'winter - the extended remix'. I love seeing these potted decorations in beautiful spring colours around Sydney, it really brightens up the place :)
Bouncing back
After last week’s tough week it has been difficult to bounce back and move forward. I’ve been going through the motions but I still don’t feel like me. I’ve been doing the things that make me happy such as training with my lovely trainer Kim, shopping, eating out, getting my nails painted and reading inspiring blogs. I do not feel like the usual things have helped.
I hope this weekend away for Miss Tanya’s birthday will be the cure to this feeling. I am looking forward to singing in the car on the drive up, feeling the sun on my skin, giggling with friends and the relaxing spa package we have booked into. Most importantly I’m looking forward to getting back to me.

allocated seating at the cinemas…is it really that hard?
Is it just me or do you also find when you go to the cinema’s that there is always a commotion about people being in the wrong seats?? What is so hard about finding and sitting in the seat number that is printed on your ticket?
There are quite a few helpful hints that make this easier for everyone, if you haven’t seen them let me clue you in:
· There is a map near the door of the cinema showing you the layout with the row and seat numbers clearly marked (subject to vandalism)
· The row letters are clearly marked at the end of the row/ stairs (subject to vandalism)
· The seat numbers are again clearly marked on the cup holders on every seat (subject to vandalism)
· You get to choose where you seat whether it be when you purchase your tickets online or when you get asked by the person serving you ‘front, middle, back?’
· If you are still unable to find ‘H-19’ then ask a friendly staff member to help you
So please take note of these helpful hints next time you go to the cinema and if all this fails then just wait till the movie comes out on DVD J
tough week
Please excuse my absence the past few days… it was a tough week. It was personally one of the most emotionally draining weeks of my professional career and something that I do not want to relive anytime soon.
Thankyou to those who listened to me rant and those who bought me many drinks. I am feeling a little better thanks to your help and support.

Melbourne Cup Day
What are your plans for today? Are you are in track side and champagne breakfasting in Melbourne? Are you dressed up and at work? Do you have a beautiful lunch on?
May Lady Luck be on your side for the race that stops the nation!!!
the little things
I get my nails painted once or twice a month. I started it to make myself stop biting my nails, it almost works. I love the OPI Bar at David Jones, this colour is "keys to my karma red".

more musings from a 5 year old
Talking on the phone I miss heard J and thought he said something about babies. I ask him 'who's having a baby?' 'Are you having a baby?' He says in a very cheeky voice 'no, your having a baby, your going to have HEAPS of babies and be a Grandma!'. Well lovely so now I'm a Grandma. An odd choice of word considering we call our Grandmothers Nana or in his case Nanny. I was not impressed.
J's latest joke in the spirit of Halloween: 'Beck what don't zombies eat cars?'
Me: 'I don't know J, why don't zombies eat cars?'
J: 'Because they give them gas hahahahahahaha'
